GM Legal is the combined practice of two established Ontario firms — AMS Mangat Law (Sajid Mahmood) and EQG Law / EQ Gondal Law Professional Corporation (Ehsan Q. Gondal). Both practices have served GTA clients for years. We do not start from scratch — we build on what already worked.
Sajid was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021 after an LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of London, and built AMS Mangat into a full-service Woodbridge practice covering corporate, commercial, real estate, employment, civil, and wills & estates work.
Ehsan founded EQG Law in 2018 as a boutique firm focused on criminal defence, immigration, and family law — the practice areas where preparation, bilingual advocacy, and direct partner access matter most.
Our clients keep what they always had: the partner they trust, the file they know, the bilingual service that drew them in. What changes is the breadth of practice areas they can now reach through a single retainer — and the depth of senior counsel they can rely on across them.

Sajid Mahmood called to the Ontario Bar
After completing an LL.B. (Hons.) at the University of London and the Canadian licensing process, Sajid is called to the Ontario Bar and establishes AMS Mangat Law.

EQG Law founded
Ehsan Q. Gondal opens EQ Gondal Law Professional Corporation as a boutique criminal, immigration, and family practice serving the GTA.
